long time since i blogged some real photos of my life.. so here's one entry of many to come.. regarding post pre-reg life at sgh! =P

i) Kuishinbo outing

after talking about going to Kuishinbo for months like we always do, we finally made a trip there, and it was shu hui's 1st time there!

the 1st time i went, it was a lunch buffet, so i didnt get to try their cold Hokkaido crab, so here's a gd chance to do so.

and after the usual jap assortment of food, who can forget the desserts! dear yiying took one of each available dessert and took a photo of it! and yep, we didnt finish all. oops.

ii) Teppanyaki @ Sakae

well, this turned out to be an impromptu outing because we were supposed to go for some drug talk that day and there weren't enough places, and since all of us set aside that date for the talk, we thought since we had nothing to do, we can just go out for dinner and chill. =)

and somehow idea of teppanyaki came to mind. and seems like there wasn't much teppanyaki options around in singapore anymore, unlike the old times, where they had teppanyaki at food courts. and therefore, we tried out sakae!

had their set meal that comprised of 5 items: sashimi, scallop, chicken & fish, chawanmushi and ice cream, which was quite worth it, coz two people could share one set and still be full.. yea the thing in the right hand corner is chawanmushi in onion! hee. it was good, especially with the grilled onion.

after that, since it wasn't a good place to chill, we proceeded to cafe cartel where they were having 1-for-1 coffees and desserts! shiok. but since it was late, most were sold out, so we settled for some coffee..

iii) SPC 2009 @ Expo

its the annual SPC once again, and this time round, its at expo. actually its my first time going for SPC since it was really expensive to go for the congress when we were students, and since our institutions were payin for it, we should go! =OP moreover, we can see our coursemates from other hospitals. yea.

the angel among the devils. someone commented on this photo that way, which was quite interesting.

and my poster once again @ SPC poster competition. after all the time we spend on it, it ought to have some more photo space on my blog. bleah.

our unofficial SGH pre-reg who finished IP with us, Joen! reminds me of the days of 73. sigh.

iv) Kian Hong's last day

it was one of the male pharmacists' last day and he brought out his DSLR and photo taking happened again. guess thats one male pharmacist short again.

v) Cafe Iguana @ Clarke Quay

outing to celebrate the july babies bdaes! and we decided to go to cafe iguana to have spanish food and margaritas! yummy. though food was just alright, margaritas really made up for it. tried the strawberry one this time round, and even though its a thursday, all of us drank. =)

2 of us fooling around again, just like old times in DI where there's non stop giggles. =P kinda miss those times, though i don't like DI.

vi) Cycling @ ECP

it was supposed to be a kayaking event turned cycling because of preferences of some people, but in the end, the people who preferred cycling didn't turn up! but we still went ahead with cycling.

tried to ride a double bike for wan jun but failed badly and knocked into a tree. jinyi took over after tt. i guess height does matter. boo!

and after cycling for a while, and sarah came to join us, we cycled for a bit and ended up having dim sum @ Playground @ Big Splash. lol. guess our cycling didn't make up for the food we ate. bleah. tsk.

vii) Tampopo @ Liang Court

next gathering wasn't a random one. it was supposed to have dual function of celebrating birthdays and a farewell dinner for soak yee. but turns out she couldn't come coz she was suspected with H1N1, so we just celebrated the Aug & Sep babies bdaes!

food we had @ tampopo. they are famous for their black pork ramen, and of coz, we ordered to share to try more stuff. and the spicy one works better for me! lol. plus scallops and egg, grilled squid and char siew.

ordered this pork set upon xiu yun's recommendation. it was scrumplicious, with its crispy pork layers plus the fillings eg cheese, prawn etc.

the 2 bdae girls : xiu yun and jinyi! the cake looks huge from this angle. hmm.

ppl around: jerlin, wan jun, xiu yun, shu hui, vivian, fiona, yiying, jinyi and me. plus a special guest, grace, who joined us for dinner. =)

and this marks the end of one round of updates. more updates to come along. and obviously, there will be more sgh outings! hee. work hard play hard.
