it's the time for cny!

and b4 cny even came, there were already pre-cny festivities going on!

i) CNY goodie baking & steamboat @ Shan's House

had our monthly jiemei outing at shan shan's house where her mother kindly taught us some tips of how to bake/make cny goodies!

help to make pineapple tarts, mini pork floss spring rolls, and some ribbon-shaped cookie, whereby it has a weird name that i keep forgetting. looks like the breast cancer collar pin. bleah.

then, had steamboat..thanks to shan, wen and xtian who went to purchase the food beforehand. steamboat with red wine/beer. =P

before texas holdem time!

had a great time despite the stomach upset i was having the whole time. seh.

the cny goodies we made and the huge spread of food we had, including jellyfish that was tasteless, but tasted better after someone's seasoning; sotong balls; crab balls, crab sticks, shabu beef and pork, vege, fish, black pepper beef and roast pork that shan's mother marinated and grilled herself. damn nice!

cheers to the new year! we were quite pinkish/purplish that day.

grand opening for shan's texas holdem set. and we openly taught her young bro how to gamble. oops. though in the end, he ended up bankrupt.

ii) oac gathering @ guo qiang's house

haven't had a oac gathering at someone's house for a long time, so it felt like we were back in jc times. just that all the girls were already working now, and some of us just changed alot.

had pizza and 金枕头 for dinner. which was a new experience, thanks to gq's recommendation.

and then, we started the board games! no gambling, but just purely board games. though the noise level we made was equivalent to a gambling den, i think. haha.

played munchkin and citadel, which was really fun! played till we didn't realise it was already so late when we finished. thankfully the police didn't come knock on the door. bleah.

the 金枕头. its curry chicken wrapped in this plastic, that was inside this huge loaf of bread that was presented as a whole. not sliced/holey. so don't know how they managed to cook the curry chicken inside the plastic inside the bread. cool~

oac girls that were ard, excluding elsie, who had to leave for another party.

gathering of cows! since all of us were cows anw. haha. not forgetting the red cow. moo...

so that kinda made my cny a little more interesting this year, since i couldn't go around visiting this year because of a funeral in the family within the past year.
