Aussie Khakis Gathering - 28th December 2008
had a gathering of my grad trip khakis, which included my pharm clique, Yimin and of course, our host, Jielin.
decided to have vietnamese food since some of them haven't tried the vietnamese food in singapore yet, when we tried like twice in aussie itself.
vietnamese lunch @ Madam Saigon @ Peck Seah Street. the beef pho that i had was really not bad, and the price was reasonable. the rest had fried kway teow, chicken noodles, and chicken chop rice. and all were not bad. so worth a try. and after lunch, its dessert! went to have cantonese dessert, and we had yang zhi gang lu, ginger pudding, yam paste and hot fu pi zhou or sth like tt. oops.

finally got a chance to go there and have a walk. so thankfully managed to direct Yimin there with my limited driving directions. i guess my experience of driving to one marina boulevard so often previously helps.
the exhibition on sustainable water resources and environment @ marina barrage. the exhibition is really cool, with all its 3D structures. that were made of reflective surfaces and some are made from recyclable cans and newspapers. the water drops contained info about singapore. and the foresty exhibition area looked really realistic. and the glass flooring of the final section was really cool! it showed the different parts of singapore.
