another update on SGH pre-reg life!


we had a bright colours day one-day. damn long ago. coz joen was still around. and she's now like already in cgh for 1 month already? okay not everyone is in bright colours, which is actually a secret! haha. quite a funny reason though.

a group picture of all the 2nd batch of inpatient pre-regs + ncc pre-reg. this photo took a long time because our dear pharmacist, the photographer, was juz randomly taking photos without warning. haha

had a feedback session with the heads about pre-reg session. and the chief pharmacist, who was also head of SGH Allied Health was around. so we kinda had a good feast that day. =)

and during these 2 weeks, it was going to be "peak" period for most of us. we were either staying late to clerk case for case presentation or do project or prepare for the carnival that we were supposed to help organise.

so it was time for pack-in dinner!

1st... it was kfc night. we bought this huge family feast that was meant for 8 people. and 9 of us still couldnt finish it. sorry for hiding the chilli. haha. it was a night of wings, drumsticks and breast meat talk. bleah

2nd...the FOLLOWING night, we had mac! this is quite sinful for a group of people working in the healthcare sector. and we wanted our caffeine dose, but mac ran out of cafe latte! how can that be?! hope xy enjoyed her medium drink. =P

busy preparing the things for deco for the carnival. went to Tekka Centre to get the materials, and because it was Christmas, there were so many beautiful christmas trees there! pretty pretty. makes me feel Christmas-sy without going to orchard to see xmas lights. white, purple, pink christmas trees! and the pretty pretty lights!

someone came up with the idea of cutting gingerbread men to hang. and we managed to get the materials and come up with our own design of gingerbread men! SGH Pre-Reg gingerbread men. thanks to everyone for their various inputs like cutting the template, cutting the men, punching holes, drawing eyes, pasting e buttons, outlining the sleeves and the men, etc. don't they look cute? and they make us happy!

and the day of the carnival arrived!

thanks to Wan Jun and the PTs for putting up the deco when the rest of us were like busy with work till like 1 plus 2pm! the place looked more lively compared to the empty void deck.

we were busy tending the game stalls and giving away prizes like nobody's business. was tending this stall "ring the cola". ended up with aching legs the next day due to all the picking.

the pre-regs in the relay team came up with the idea of a deco-the-mummy game. and the pharmacists and PTs turned out to be quite creative and enthusiastic. and everybody had fun, even though it turned out to be quite havoc at the end when the mummies end up knocking each other.

after finishing the tiring task of tending the game stalls, we started playing around with the chocolate fondue. didnt know that chocolate fondue was made by melting the hard chocolate first, so that it can flow. so i learnt something new!

deco team! so this was wad we came up with it. we bought many ornaments, like small presents, balls, REAL candy canes to hang on the shiny green and blue strings. and at the end of the day, there was only one or two candy canes left. cause everyone took the candy canes!
