time to have good food again!

though nothing major happened this week, as in no presentations, other than case studies to present. but still.. we live to eat! =)

finally had time to meet up with Liwei after like don't know how long since we said we wanted to.

went to this Jap place called Tonkichi in Suntec, that was famous for its pork cutlet.

apparently the original pork cutlet is supposed to be made from some japanese shan zhu. and the meat is damn tender and juicy. it was quite interesting cause i never really ate something like that before, other than katsu don. haha

we were supposed to grind these seeds and then add the sauce in, to make our own pork cutlet sauce. the more you grind, the more fragrant the sauce will be. according to liwei, they feed the pigs these seeds in Japan so that the fragrance will also be in their meat. damn cool~

the big feast we had. we order a pork katsu and seafood platter, with pork cutlet, pork loin (that is supposed to be more fatty), fried ebi, fried brinjal and salad! comes with rice, miso soup, and appetizer.

so after a gd filling meal, and a gd chit-chat session, decided to just take some pictures of some xmas deco around city hall area before we go home.

i love the street lights along the whole road. bluish-purple, with all the silverish white dangling stuff from the trees. the christmas trees were really huge. think the suntec one is much nicer than the raffles city one.

liwei brought me to the entrance of chijmes. which was another heaven of its own. known as city of angels, and it was against the backdrop of the cathedral. gives it a really different feeling. the deco inside chijmes were really nice too. i want to go there for drinks one day!! have been yearning for that since like the time we had d&d inside chijmes. it looks so damn nice and as jac always says, alfresco dining. =)

grabbed a chance to ask this caucasian guy to help us take a photo. and his skills were really quite good. considering his age. =P

i wanna see xmas lights on orchard. if i have the time. =(
