had some random outings here and there, in the midst of FAPA as well as preparation for journal club. think I am like the slackest out of all the inpatient peeps. bleah.

went to AMK to eat crab last Saturday. supposed to go Gilman with Xinyan and Xintian, but er jie last minute cmi. so went with wen and xintian to AMK to eat the famous butter crab! that I have heard of so many times, that even wen, who stays in the west, has tried twice.

the spread of food we had. veg, zha man tou, "hotplate" tofu, and the butter crab!

look at the huge female crab! hee =) the butter was really quite smooth and delicious, but i think i will prefer chilli crab. shall try the chilli crab next time!

then, because i had the car, we decided to go dempsey! beauty of a car. wanted to go bishan park, but i couldnt find the entrance to the carpark, and since xtian suggested dempsey, decided to go there. wanted to go ben & jerrys but coz we were so full, decided to just walk around dempsey. i think we explored every corner, and found many interesting stuff!

1. the dempsey fountain was really pretty. the previous time i went, i had only my phone cam, so luckily i had a good camera on me this time round.
2. the red dot brewery with the lit steps leading up to the brewery. really pretty!
3. there was jones the grocer. the deco looked really familiar, but i couldnt remember where i saw it before. in the end, i walked around and found many australian stuff inside. apparently, its an australian-themed store.
4. and so... guess what. found little creatures beer and rogers beer from perth!


and then, went to catch Avenue Q in the midst of preparations for journal club. when xintian asked us a few months ago, i happily agreed, without realising that journal club was only 3 days after the musical. boo.

but i am glad i went to catch it. adult-version of sesame street. similar to friends. it was really funny, and i guess, it really reflects life. i could identify with it. i guess. it made me laugh, made me tear, made me ponder.

the 4 of us who went to catch Avenue Q, minus siyong. too bad they didnt have the 2 prettier puppets in this poster. haha. and not forgetting the porn crazy trekkie monster!
