went to Queen Victoria market on the 3rd day to do some shopping for souvenirs and also to do groceries, coz it was the day we were supposed to cook dinner for Jielin!

went to the souvenirs section first since after 1pm, the food will be cheaper according to Jielin. it was an experience seeing the different stall owners yelling bargains. and we got some cheap bargains at the end, like one whole big tray of fresh prawns at 10 aud. when usually one small tray costs around 20 aud. wanted to get bratwurst sausages at 10 aud a tray, but by the time we decided to get it, it was sold out. =(

yimin's friends joined us and introduced us to Spanish Donuts a.k.a churros. the last I had was in US, but this was much better. and the cold weather that day made it more satisfying. it was really cold that day, with the heavy thunderstorm and the winds blowing strongly. it was predicted that there might be hail that day, but too bad, we din see any. it will be a good experience to see hail.

and then, we made our way to Melbourne Central, a shopping mall, to do some shopping of other groceries, before heading back home. had bak kut teh, cabbage, onion mushroom omelette and pasta for dinner! i cooked the cabbage and omelette, whereas hua took over the pasta.

Melbourne city. with the clock and the ceiling of Melbourne Central in the pictures. there was also this huge indoor rock climbing wall beside it, which was quite cool. coz u can see people climbing it from the exterior.

it was nice having homecooked dinner in melbourne for a change, rather than eating out all the way. too bad, i have no pics with me, so no pics on the blog. got to get pics from the rest. hee.

next day: st kilda's beach. planned it on a Sunday so that we can take a look at the arts and craft market on Sunday. the market was along the whole stretch of the beach, but the things were kinda expensive though exquisite. so we did not get anything except for me, who got a painting for my mother.

hua and me in Jielin's place with our beanies! look at Hua's hair. product of Lee Cheng. she looks quite nice like that.

photo-taking while waiting for the tram to St Kilda's Beach. managed to get all of us in. =)
