i am BACK! at least for the cny break. =P

it has been a busy busy busy sem for me. and i think three "busy"s are not enough to explain this semester for me.

academic-related stuff:

5 day week. (all e other yr 4s are like having 1-3 day week!)
4 level 4000 modules
fyp
2 projects
1 grp assignment every week
2 lab reports every week. =(

non-academic stuff:

salsa! which ended already unfortunately.

havent had chance to upload many many pictures. like for my genting & kl trip (wen is nagging), jay chou's concert, chingay, v-bash! time for updates!

genting & kl trip:

havent been to genting for a really long time, and i think the last time i went, it was only restricted to the children rides or slow rides coz i went with my grandparents! haha. so it was quite fun going to the thrilling rides, though i din go on the screwdriver! suicide was so damn good! if you delete away the scary part, i think it was just such a gd view from the top of the ride. with the clouds and scenery. wooo.. BUT

lesson learnt: VIKING's not for me. so pls dont get me to take VIKING in future. i rather take suicide. haha.

not forgetting the casino! yesh eligible age to go inside a casino, though nv played much. except for the jackpot. won initially, but in e end lost like 15 bucks. boohoo. but at least it was an experience. maybe the next time shld juz try to bet on a real gambling table! but the starting bets were really too big for me to risk losing that amount of money in the first place.

then kl. went there like 2 years ago. it nv changed much from what i remembered. spent most of the time shopping and eating. it was just like a cycle. eating and gg to the toilet every 2 hrs. haha. too bad hc nv went. she can go put on weight. bleah. den had a gd ktv session for bout 6 hrs! yoohoo. i am just glad that i can have better memories of kl now.

jay chou's concert:

first time gg to a pop concert!

it was really good coz u juz get damn high when everyone around you also gets high. and u can start singing along with him when its songs u are familiar with. not forgetting the different antics that he performed, like the glass piano (i want one!), hip hop dance, che ling, guzhen, drums and guitar. woah.

salsa:

signed up for salsa lessons with huiching and shan shan under this yep trip event. apparently the salsa bar is their sponsor, and all the proceeds frm the sign-ups go to the yep trip. which is doing charity at the same time.

had our first salsa lesson in dec before hc left for europe at the salsa bar, Xenbar, in Chinatown. it was super fun. though it was just the basics the first two lessons. will juz change partners and dance during the song.

then for the 3rd lesson, shan shan and me went for lessons. and there were only the 2 of us, with the dance instructor, which was quite awkward. but it turned out to be a good lesson because another dance instructor came and basically led us along with the intermediate salsa steps.

basically salsa is like a dance where the guy leads the girl to dance. so even if you have never learned that complicated steps before, as long as you try to understand what the guy is requiring you to do and juz stick to the basic steps, you can still do it. which is damn cool!

then for the next lesson, which we had on a Sunday, the bar had a free rueda lesson after that. as long as you are a student of other classes or buys a drink, you can come for the lesson. the only thing required is that you need to know the basic salsa steps, which shan shan and me knew, and so we stayed! it was another cool dance, where everyone dances in a circle and makes interacting steps by stamping together or shouting together.

looking forward to more salsa =)

chingay:

participating in chingay under soka coz of shan shan, who pulled hui ching and me into the performance as well. it was great because you get to meet alot of friends though it makes me feel a bit old. with all the teens around me. i am like lao wu! booo. at least of the wave group!

it made me remember the days in ny when we participated in ndp. but think the costume this time round is much nicer la. haha i rbred the magazine called us dunno wad superman last time for the ny performance. eeeks.

had a full dress rehearsal last Saturday, with the full costume, hair and makeup. seh. shan shan said they made me look like a fei nu with the way they tied my hair up. think our makeup is e nicest out of all the groups! okay the theme is ocean of harmony, so there's waves, seaweed, crabs, coral, school of fish, jellyfish. and waves rock.=)

bak kut teh:

finally had a chance to eat the bak kut teh at marsiling tt steph has always been recommending. swee. went with steph, daniu and wen one sunday. but i think my bugis one still rocks. haha not forgetting e one my mama cooks.

v-bash 2008:

probably the last bash tt i will go to.

at least the company at this bash is good, with my fellow PRU khakis around, as compared to last year, when I represented the jiemeis alone. at least there were 4 this time. =) not forgetting e guys whom were around as well. it was fun watching programmes together, dancing together with the good music by the band, as well drinking together. and treated wilson to a bday treat of waterfall and flamingo! yeah.

thanks for coming along with me and it was really great having you around. our first clubbing experience together =)

another sell-out bash from PRU. yoohoo. V-Bash will rock for many years to come.
