dispensing prac test today was a total disaster.
time management probs. i think i was like flipping like mad through DIH. checking the dosages and medications to see if they were supposed to be given for that patient, or whether its correct. luckily the legal validity of the prescription was still at the back of my head. no need refer to it so much. how am i gg to memorise all the dosages and know them at my fingertips if i were to work in hospital in future. seh.
extemporaneous prep. got to guess wad it is, when we saw the finger gloves on the table. at least they asked us to make capsules. not suppositories. a sign of relief. ya suppositories are the type of med u insert up into your rectum. but think my capsules oso like shit. think nv reached the weight of 200 mg. patients tt eat that will get insufficient dosage. haha.
nv really touched 1 prescription out of the 3 also. was busy doing the other 2 prescriptions. luckily alex chan was still not tt bad, though he got give me harder questions than i expected from him. like this patient i dio, got asthma and the doctor give him beta blocker, which is contraindicated for the patient. so i suggested changing to another drug, calcium channel blocker. and suggested nifedipine. he said he did not like nifedipine. so ask me give another alternative. pengz.
well, at least i know better how real life as a pharmacist is like. these are all happening in real life lo, with the docs giving unsuitable drugs or doses. we even had to wear formal and wear our pharmacy coat. get into the mood. haha
got another one in 2 wks time. seh. simulation time.
