finally got a breather this week.
had a rather fulfilling mid-sem break, enough balance of work and play. was doing my fyp p1 and my universe term proj most of the time. so at least nv slacked throughout. though still more slack than my fellow classmates who are doing lab related projects. oops.
had a mini PRU maf last Sunday. ate at Greenhouse Cafe for dinner. i think that's what it is called. its half a cafe and the other half, is a florist. the food there was not bad, and affordable for food in Vivocity. so Shan Shan's sister never recommend wrongly. =)
then went to Tanjong beach at Sentosa. had 4 cars that day, and 14 of us. oooh. den the person leading us turned the wrong way and it was quite funny having 4 cars turn around. lol. too bad din manage to snap that sight now. din realise that there was a cafe on Tanjong beach and there were fire blowing performances too.
went to this ulu hut near the side of the beach, and it seemed to be meant for us. coz there were nobody there and it was lit up too. and it had a nice view. you could see the sea and the ships on it, without any artificial islands blocking. not tt we could see much at that time of the day. haha. we only drove in at 8.30pm.
think it was an alcohol party, rather than a maf party, looking at the amount of booze there was around. think if we ever have an Oktoberfest party, it will be damn shiok for all these drinkers. haha. but since it was a maf celebration, there was still mooncake and pomelo! not forgetting janus's fried tang hoon! sweet. one of my favourite food. thanks xiao jan!
celebrated 6 ppl's bdae, including mine. all the sep and oct babies, coz they tot we probably wont be able to meet up with one another so soon. ranking in terms of birthdays: ghim (10 sep), siyong (29 sep), xintian (2 oct), me, kelvin tang (15 oct), junxing (27 oct). too bad jeff and huiching werent ard too. another 2 sep babies.
den wats maf without lanterns, candles and sparklers! had a hard time lighting it, coz of the winds. learnt how to twirl sparklers! though i still dont twirl it as smoothly as the rest, but its still fun. den while those havin lanterns were having a lantern fight, those who burnt their lanterns were happily setting up a nice fire. they even went ard sourcing for fuel, like coconut husks and wood. reminds me of my times in guides. nice!
den went to ktv yesterday with pru ppl as well. supposed to sing from 7pm to 3am, but i went home to take the car after my proj meeting, so ended up reaching at only 8pm. quite shiok because havent gone to ktv for a damn long time, i think the last time, was all the way back in year 3 sem 2.
sang alot of songs, and we finished singing all the songs we dedicated! ended ard 2.30am. haha. quite gd feeling to be able to do tt. had a lot of old songs and eng songs too. guess we r getting old. by the time i drove huiching home and reached home myself, it was like 3.30am bahz. i miss the times i get to reach home late.
there's only the weekend left to the mid sem break. time flies by really fast. =(
