Chris Turner's hse
currently staying at the house of the professor who is in charge of planning the programme in colorado.
both his wife and him are really nice people, because they really make us feel at home with their hospitality. each of us gets a room to ourself, which is really cool. the rooms are empty because their children are not around, some in canada, one in saudi arabia and one in sri lanka. all over the world. cool
apparently, dr lawrence ng's office was a few yards away from him when he was still in colorado, so he knows him. we were telling him bout the many colorado stories that prof ng was telling us. he has been in singapore before, together with his wife, and we could still make some small talk bout singapore with both of them.
the house is really nice. its 2 storeys high, with a nice garden and a patio where we could sit around and talk when the weather wasnt too hot. they planned and tended to the garden themselves, and i could really see his sense of satisfaction when he brought us on a tour around the garden. i will love to have a garden and just plant flowers that i like all over the place. pleasant to the eyes too =)
went for a walk around the neighbourhood, and its really different from Singapore. because you see alot of private houses and no apartments at all, probably because they have too much land. it just stretches on for miles. we could see the mountains in the distance as well, and planes from the airport. so it was a really nice walk.
the pharmacy dept managed to get us a local attachment in either nuh or sgh for 1 week from the 30th of july to the 6th of august. which is good because i can get to see how hospital life is like, and can decide which path i will take when i graduate, which is like in one yr's time. omg.
2 more weeks in US!
