eventful week
had an eventful week.
1st.. had the urine practical. alright. i must say i was lucky enough not to be the person to do the urine (she had to collect urine for 6 hours, then fast for 8 hrs, then collect her urine for almost 30 hours straight after taking a tablet of paracetamol for experimental purposes.. had to collect urine every hour for the 1st 8 hours). tt sounds super mafan. thanks huiyie for doing it! so what we did during the prac was to try to find the amount of paracetamol in all her urine samples throughout the 30 hours.. using super er xin chemicals like alkaline phenol, tt stung our eyes, smelly ammonia and caustic sulphuric acid. think the masks werent enough lo.
2nd. went to help pack goodie bag on fri after my biotech ca. long time nv pack le, and moreover, it was not 100 or 200 bags, but 4000 goodie bags! horror. sit until my butt ached, pass goodie bags until arms ache, bend until back ache, grab e small packets until palm ache.. not forgetting the particles that kept coming out from the gunny-sack like goodie bags. best. packed for around 3 plus hours, had dinner at midnight den went home in a cab. long time nv go home so late le.
3rd. went to help open house on sun. i must say it brings back memories. coincidentally, i was placed at the entrance just like yr 1, giving away goodie bags and balloons.. noe what my junior said when she saw me.. she said i rbr u standing here when i came visiting open house 2 yrs ago. best. haha. amazing.
people different. programmes different. jc kids different. appearance of mpsh different. BUT the PRU spirit still remains. the fun that we had , blowing up balloons using the helium tank, giving away goodie bags, packing up the hall, bringing things back to the dungeon, having supper together after tt. maybe it doesnt sound fun at all. maybe it just sounds like shit work.
but i really miss doing events man. sigh. the rides in the nussu van, the avoiding of cockroaches in the old dungeon, the collecting of goodies, the long times we sit in nussu sect talking or making marketing calls, the meetings in the conference rooms, the planning of events, suppering together after meetings, setting up the places, pasting posters etc.
ppl might say: do so many events, where got time to study. but sometimes even when u do events and u get busy, u will get the motivation to study cause u know u have no time to study in the following weeks, not like me now, slacking all the time because i think i have all the time in the world. haha. once i know i need to help open house, i finished up alot of work on sat. talk about difference in efficiency.
maybe i should get a part-time job or something. haha
