3rd wk of attachment
hmm so fast, end of 3rd wk of attachment le.
sometimes i think that i am getting more attracted to retail life liao, with all the good money, the slack time at times, the crowd you see (not all sick ppl), the other things you handle other den medications; but of course also got disadvantages la like standing one whole day, putting on a smile no matter what, seeing ppl's irritated faces when you ask them to go see a doctor for a prescription for the medication instead. hmmz.
my preceptor started me off on a mini project, that is to answer the questions on a worksheet meant for pre-reg students. basically that worksheet is on herbs la, so i m supposed to find the indications and precautions n brands for 7 herbs, so basically i embrace the comp med book to find e answers. reading information on herbs can sometimes make one fall asleep. its damn boring! but what to do, its super sell-lable. den i started teaching the pharmacy assistants the use of these herbs and the precautions to take, like who cannot take this medication etc. like i m a teacher. bleah
she oso gave me a test that the pharmacy assistants have to take. and surprisingly there's negative marking! omg. i tot that only existed in school lah. then, apparently, i only know about the OTC section in the test paper and that only consisted of 5 questions. and there are 60 questions! omg. so i failed quite badly lah, but i really dunno the other items mahz, like shampoo, toothpaste for sensitive teeth, rehab equipment like wheelchairs n crutches, or things like dressings.
so my pharmacist said, in retail, we should not concentrate on only things in the pharmacy counter. must oso notice things outside on the shelves.
shall start noticing from next week. haha
weekend again! and its gss ~ with the food fair n pc fair. its going to be a packed weekend. haha
